The Iron Mirror is an item presented by Druth to Senua around the time they met in the woods.
Lore[]
Around the time Senua decided to go to the woods to overcome the darkness that tormented her, she ended up meeting Druth, an old scholar who was badly burned in his attempts to escape his slave masters, the Northmen. As Druth concluded he didn't have long to live due to his burns, he ended up giving his mirror as a gift to his newest friend.
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice[]
Senua uses the iron mirror for the first time in the game in the battle against Valravn. When she overcomes the god of illusion's final illusion, Senua is immediately ambushed and imprisoned by Valravn. She can remember what Druth told her in the woods; of how the mirror would be useful in combat. After focus as Druth had requested, Senua manages to free herself from the claws of the god of illusion and defeat him later in battle.

The Iron Mirror can only be used in combat. Every time Senua attacks or dodges an enemy attack, a portion of the symbol will glow in the mirror on her hip, giving her a charge. Senua can accumulate up to a maximum of three charges. If Senua's focus charge is at maximum (with each mirror symbol lit), the slowdown time will be longer. The Iron Mirror is an intermediary for Senua to activate her time-slowing power.

Capabilities[]
- Time Reduction: Senua can use her focus to manipulate time and slow down all enemies around her for a limited time. During this period, Senua can move faster and attack all enemies during a time slowdown. If she has 3 focus charges on her Iron Mirror, the slowdown will be longer.
- Superhuman Speed: Senua can run and move at a great speed when her focus has a single focus charge during a time slowdown. Although she is not actually running at an absurd speed, Senua manipulates time with her focus, slowing down everything around her while she moves normally. Thus, enemies have a different perspective on her, giving the impression that she is at great speed.
- Accelerated Perception: During the slowdown of time, Senua is able to perceive everything slowly, allowing her to perceive what would normally be very quick to see and respond accordingly.
